My good friend Scott; who’s trail angel name was suggested to be Bottlecap but may now consider Faceplant; picked me up in Kennedy Meadows and drove me all the way home. Thank you, sir!
Since that time, I slept and/or napped for two days straight, celebrated my birthday again, celebrated my son’s graduation from high school and awed over the climbing wall he built, saw some friends and family, bought lots of food and did repairs on my gear. I’ve been stressing about the hiking and resupply strategies for the next several hundred miles, too.
So here I am with Sarah getting ready to leave Kernville and head back to KM to hit the trail once again. Next stop, Lone Pine after 50-ish trail miles.
